CorrLinks Data Processing
Messages are processed through the CorrLinks/TRULINCS system operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. All communications are subject to monitoring by correctional facilities. FreedomLink does not control facility monitoring practices and is not responsible for content reviewed or rejected by facility staff.
Third-Party Services
Apple App Store
Subscription billing and authentication are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status but not your payment details.
OpenAI
AI assistant queries are processed through OpenAI's API. Message content may be sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's data retention policies apply to their processing.
RevenueCat
Subscription management and analytics are handled by RevenueCat. They receive anonymized subscription data.
Cloudflare
Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, D1, and R2. Data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure.
Bureau of Prisons
Inmate search queries are sent to the BOP public inmate locator API. No personal data is sent to the BOP.
Data Retention
- Message content: retained for the duration of your active subscription
- Account data: retained until account deletion is requested
- Usage logs: retained for 90 days for security and debugging
- AI query logs: retained for 30 days for quality improvement
Your Rights
- Access: request a copy of your personal data
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
- Opt-out: unsubscribe from marketing communications
- Data portability: request an export of your message history

Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive data, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
