Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using FreedomLink ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FreedomLink is a communication platform that bridges families with incarcerated loved ones through the federal prison email system (CorrLinks/TRULINCS). The Service includes family messaging, AI assistant access, legal research tools, internet search, and photo sharing for eligible plans.

3. Subscription and Billing

Weekly Plan

  • Price: $8.99 per week
  • Includes a 3-day free trial (no credit card required)
  • Features: messaging, AI assistant, legal research, internet search
  • Does not include photo sharing or priority support

Monthly Plan

  • Price: $14.99 per month
  • No free trial
  • Features: all Weekly features plus photo sharing and priority support

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store. You can cancel anytime. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods except as required by law.

4. Paper Mail Service

The paper mail feature is priced at $3.49 per letter and is separate from subscription plans. Payment is processed at the time of each order.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Send content that violates facility rules, including but not limited to: coded language, discussion of crimes, explicit content, or threats
  • Attempt to bypass facility security or monitoring systems
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use automated systems to access the Service beyond the provided API
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization

All messages sent through FreedomLink are subject to monitoring by correctional facilities. FreedomLink is not responsible for messages rejected or blocked by facility staff.

6. Inmate Communication Rules

Incarcerated individuals must add FreedomLink as an approved TRULINCS contact before messaging can begin. The inmate's facility must support CorrLinks/TRULINCS email. FreedomLink is not responsible for facility-specific restrictions on email access, message limits, or content rules.

7. AI and Legal Research

AI-generated responses and legal research results are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. FreedomLink is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation. Users should consult qualified legal counsel for legal matters.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Message content is processed to deliver the Service and may be stored for quality assurance.

9. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, message delivery times, or the accuracy of AI-generated content. Facility email systems may experience delays or outages outside our control.

10. Limitation of Liability

FreedomLink's liability is limited to the amount you have paid in the preceding 30 days. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to missed communications, legal outcomes, or emotional distress.

11. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

12. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
