FreedomLink is an AI-powered communication platform that helps families stay connected with incarcerated loved ones. We work through the existing prison email system (CorrLinks/TRULINCS) as an intelligent email bot. Your loved one emails our bot, and we process requests like messaging family, AI questions, legal research, and internet searches.

CorrLinks is the raw email system — it only does basic text email between inmates and approved contacts. FreedomLink adds AI assistance, family messaging via WhatsApp/Telegram/SMS, voice messages, legal research, internet search, and more — all through CorrLinks as the transport layer.

FreedomLink works with all federal prisons in the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) system that have CorrLinks/TRULINCS email access. This covers the vast majority of federal facilities. We're actively working on expanding to state prison systems.

Your loved one emails our bot with a question prefixed with a keyword (e.g., "AI: what is habeas corpus?"). Our system processes the request through advanced AI (ChatGPT) and sends back a detailed, formatted response via CorrLinks email. It's like having a personal research assistant available 24/7.

Family members record voice messages through our platform. We transcribe them and send the text to your loved one (along with a note that it's a voice message). When inmates reply, we convert their text into a natural-sounding audio message for the family. It's the closest thing to hearing each other's voice.

Our legal research module provides access to case law, legal definitions, BOP policies, sentencing guidelines, and procedural information. While it's not a substitute for an attorney, it helps inmates understand their legal situation and prepare informed questions for their legal representation.

Basic ($12.99/mo) includes unlimited AI, messaging, voice messages, legal research, and internet search. Personal ($17.99/mo) adds a dedicated personal phone number, priority support, SMS & WhatsApp direct, message history export, and photo sharing (up to 5/day).

After signing up, you provide your loved one's CorrLinks email address and register number. We generate a unique bot email address for them. They add this address to their CorrLinks approved contact list, and they can start using FreedomLink immediately by emailing our bot.

Absolutely. All messages are encrypted in transit and at rest. We comply with federal regulations regarding prison communications. We never share your data with third parties, and you can request deletion of all your data at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If CorrLinks/TRULINCS is down on the prison's end, messages will be queued and delivered as soon as the system comes back online. You'll be notified of any delays. Our system has 99.9% uptime — most delays are on the prison system side, which we have no control over.
